Weight Management Eligibility
Our weight management program is tailored to provide safe, effective medical support. To ensure patient safety, we adhere to strict clinical guidelines. Please review the following disqualifying criteria to determine if our telehealth treatments are right for you.
- Current pregnancy or plans to become pregnant
- Breastfeeding
- History of medullary thyroid carcinoma
- Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2)
- History of pancreatitis or severe gallbladder disease
- Active eating disorder (e.g., anorexia or bulimia)
- Severe renal impairment or end-stage kidney disease
- BMI below 27
- Current cancer treatment with radiation/chemotherapy
- Recent weight loss surgery within the last 12 months
- Prior organ transplant
- Insulin or other type 2 diabetes medications use
- Uncontrolled high blood pressure
- Certain chronic medications used for pain
- You have active gallbladder disease or symptoms such as gallbladder attacks
- You have a history of gallstones with ongoing symptoms
- You have moderate to severe gastrointestinal conditions, such as gastroparesis, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), or diverticular disease
- You have diabetic retinopathy
- Under 18
- Additional Requirement for Patients Age 70 and Older:
Patients over the age of 70 may be asked to provide recent laboratory results (within the past 12 months), including a comprehensive metabolic panel, hemoglobin A1c, thyroid function (TSH), and lipid panel. These labs can be ordered during the initial visit if needed (additional fee).

Once approved, your provider sends your tailored prescription to your preferred pharmacy.
Step 4 – Continuous Support
Get ongoing support with follow-up visits to monitor results and adjust your plan as needed.

- BMI Eligibility: Qualifications require a BMI ≥ 27.

- Treatment Adherence: Patients must commit to regular chat visits for dose adjustments and continuous assessment.
- Side Effect Monitoring: Rapid reporting of any side effects is mandatory to ensure medication safety and dosage optimization.
- Clinical Policies: Patients are responsible for providing accurate health histories and adhering to the prescribed pharmaceutical regimen as directed by our providers.
